“River Road” Barbecued Shrimp Seasoning makes this dish one of the easiest and most delicious meals you will ever prepare. Simply melt some butter, add Worcestershire sauce and the seasoning packet, and pop it in the oven. No kidding, it really is that easy! I started buying this seasoning mix on every trip to New Orleans years ago, and then… Hallelujah! The Rouse’s grocery chain finally opened in our area. I was thrilled to find my beloved “River Road” products locally. This has truly been one of my most delicious finds, and my family agrees—it’s one of their absolute favorites. If you love Cajun cuisine, I urge you to try this dish.

I promise you won’t be sorry! (Note: If you don’t have a Rouse’s nearby, you can find this mix online at www.fiestaspices.com)

Frequently Asked Questions

Expand All:

Can I use peeled shrimp?

Yes, you can use peeled shrimp, but keeping the shells on helps lock in the flavor and moisture during baking.

What can I use instead of River Road Seasoning?

If you can't find River Road, you can substitute it with another high-quality Cajun or Creole seasoning blend, though the flavor profile may vary slightly.

How should I store leftovers?

Store any leftover shrimp and sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently so the shrimp do not overcook.
