• 1 head of green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 can of corned beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • salt and pepper to taste

This is one of the quickest, easiest recipe’s in my collection.  I have been preparing this dish since my children were very small and they will still say it is one of their favorites.  Serve this dish with a slice of cornbread and you have yourself a delicious meal.

Directions:

  1. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a large cast iron or other skillet, add cabbage and two tablespoons of water.
  2. Add corned beef that has been cut into pieces; stir.
  3. Add salt and pepper.  Cook over medium heat until cabbage is tender.
